Vivente uses a small number of cookies on our website and platform to keep the service working securely and to support features you ask us to use.
This policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Vivente currently uses, why we use them and what choices are available to you.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device when you visit a website or use an online service. They can help a service remember information about your session or a choice you have made.
Some cookies are essential for a service to work properly. Others, such as analytics or advertising cookies, are non-essential and generally require a choice from you before they are used.
Why do we use cookies?
Vivente currently uses cookies only where they are needed to:
- keep you securely signed in to your Vivente account;
- remember that you have completed the one-time consent onboarding step; and
- carry an external application connection request through sign-in when you have chosen to start that connection.
When do we ask for consent?
The cookies Vivente currently uses are designed to support authentication, remember a service related consent step, or complete a connection request that you have started. We treat these as essential to providing the relevant part of the service, so we do not currently ask you to accept or reject them through a cookie banner.
If Vivente introduces analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent before using them where required. We will also update this policy so you can see what has changed.
Where information collected through cookies is personal data, we will also make sure that we have an appropriate lawful basis for using it under applicable UK and EU data protection law.
Types of cookies we use
Essential cookies
These cookies are needed for Vivente to provide the service or a feature you have asked to use. Blocking or deleting them may affect how Vivente works.

Non-essential cookies
Vivente does not currently use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide an appropriate way for you to make and manage your cookie choices before those cookies are used where consent is required.
Managing cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Please be aware that blocking cookies that are essential for authentication or a feature you have requested may mean that parts of Vivente do not work properly.
Signing out of Vivente removes the sign-in cookie; if you do not sign out, it expires after 400 days. The short-lived cookie used to carry an external application connection request is automatically deleted after it is used or expires.
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if the cookies or technologies used by Vivente change. The latest version will always explain the cookies currently in use and, where required, the choices available to you.
